Ogbe Yekun's Patakie: Oduduwa came down to Olofin's house on Earth.
When Oduduwa tried to move from heaven to earth, it was by divination of Ifa leaving the Odu Ogbe Yekun, his Babalawos recommended him to make sacrifice with: Two chivas, four Obi kolá in their shell, a white cloth, four doves, four white chickens.
But Oduduwa did not make the sacrifice and descended on earth. He reached Olofin's fourth house on earth. And when it rained, the water always came in and the sun came through the crevices at dawn. And he could not alleviate his hunger, nor be there.
Suddenly one moment after another he vanished and returned to heaven before his Babalawos. They asked him for authorization to make the sacrifice that he had determined in his first divination but they told him that now the sacrifice would be double. Oduduwa accepted and made the sacrifice.
After the sacrifice he returned to earth and I am again in a house in Olofin. And at that time the land was arid, the rain stopped falling, pregnant women did not give birth and the fruits in the fields did not ripen. Faced with these misfortunes, Olofin apparently sent for an OLUWO named Ogulenu. Olofin consulted himself and the sign Ogbe Yeku came out.
After having found this sign, Ogulenu asked Olofin: Who is the stranger who entered your house, and quickly, is installed at will? The one who is inhabiting the house is Oduduwa. Afterwards Ogulenu told Olofin: it is necessary for me to get two cows, many white cloths, and a basket of snails (Igbin).
To give them to Oduduwa in his honor so that there may be prosperity on earth.
An assembly was held in the city, and the sacrifice was offered to them before Oduduwa.
Once the objects were offered, it began to rain, the women gave birth and the fruits ripened. And tranquility and peace reigned in the city. This is where Oduduwa took the name «La mo no du vi do Akpo me»Animals and men must not eat Obi kolá. It is forbidden for them by Oduduwa.
