History.
Olodumare, who created the Earth and all the Orishas, creatures created by him, gave them powers and ashé. After a while and believing that he had finished his work, since the different Orishas had been granted the virtue of power with their respective astral, send the
Earth the radiations in such a way that each of them could radiate at the same time to several people who were protected by that Orisha who sent the irradiations. But it happened that each one of those irradiated people ceased to be as they had been moments before, to become a being that when speaking said things that they themselves ignored because they were possessed by a divinity mounted by Osha.
At the beginning of this phenomenon produced in human beings and not understood by them, everything developed normally, but after a while everything began to change to the extreme that each one believed himself superior to the other, starting wars, both armed and war based on external and esoteric knowledge.
War and destruction were about to decimate humanity because each one believed a God, according to the knowledge acquired. One day, Olodumare sent Eshu to Earth to inspect it and inform him of the conditions in which its inhabitants were.
Eshu took on the task, but seeing so much envy among humanity, he turned to one of those who considered themselves wise and asked him: What is the cause of the war that exists on Earth?
That individual replied: I am the son of Osanyin and he has granted me the power to be one of the most privileged men that he has - for my head - therefore, I am the one who knows the most here on Earth, and war is the product of the envy others have of me.
Eshu did not like the form of that individual and replied: Olodumare is not going to like the way you are. they are behaving, because he, like the Orishas, do not accept their actions as good, because that war should not have started, and therefore cannot continue. Osanyin's son said to Eshu: Well, I am King and I will not allow anyone to dethrone me.
Eshu left that encounter annoyed and continued investigating among the humans, receiving from them almost the same response as that of Osanyin's son.
Eshu returned to Olodumare and reported everything he had seen and heard on Earth. After listening to it, he meditated on everything and decided to send the Orishas to Earth so that they could speak to their children, so that they could improve their behavior.
The first one he sent was to Obatalá, the latter failing in his attempt. Olodumare continued to send the other Orishas but they all failed and he had no more Orishas left to send to Earth, he looked for Orúnmila and said: -I have already sent all the Orishas to Earth to fix it, but they have failed. The situation is because of envy and the evil that exists there. They are engaged in a war that may be the cause of the destruction of the entire Earth, since everyone who is possessed by the astral force of an Orisha, considers himself superior to others and as all the Orishas have failed in their mission, is that now he sent you, to fix and end the war.
Orúnmila replied: -I promise to try to fix all humanity and I will go down to Earth to fulfill the mission, but I will not go down or ride on the head of any of my children until I finish the task that you ask of me. Olodumare replied: To Iban Eshu.
Note: This is the reason why Orúnmila does not fall on the head of any Awó or Omofá.
